Hey everyone,
sorry I did not write sooner!
I had a blast at Gigantour. It was awesome seeing the bands there & it seemed pretty cool. It was nice to see the younger bands get treated as well as the bigger bands. I interviewed Sanctity, Arch Enemy and Opeth. I love Opeth's sound. They played a sold out show in the Uk last year when we saw them there. Angela (Arch Enemy) looked hot as usual & did a kick ass performance on stage.
Sanctity did a great job & I look foward to seeing them in they return later this year. They were polite. Their tour manager was extremely cool. He actually offered me his catering meal ticket when I was asking
where they were hot dogs for sale . I declined his ticket cause it would be inappropriate & the catering is for the bands. Some people, however, would be couthless enough to eat the bands' catering. It is a privilege enough to be interviewing these bands & getting to see them play live, but it is wrong to overstep my boundaries. I do this cause I love metal & never want to see it die out. There are some people who interview bands & hang around backstage for the wrong reasons. I hate people like that, especially women who work in this business for the wrong reasons-such as it being a way for them to meet guys in bands, or just a way to get 15 mins of fame on tv, when indeed some of these
bimbolas have no clue what metal is & what bands make up the death metal genre!!! It was a blast seeing Lamb of God. I am so happy they are #8 in the billboard charts- finally good music has made it to the billboard
charts!!! They project so much enegy on stage & are some of the most humble people I have met.
It is funny how alot of the most successful bands in extreme metal are the coolest people you will ever meet. Then, you have some jackass who wins the "Supernova" tv show contest who not only looks like a jackass, but acts like one too. I saw him out the other night at the Rainbow acting like he had the talent of Mike Amott or Randy Blythe. Pleaseeeeeeeeee!! Nobody is in Randy's zipcode! When he does his thing, he puts so much passion & attitude into it!
Unearth played last night & they were amazing!!. For those of you reading this who live in the so cal area, check me out on the Metal Scene Tv Show. the showtimes can be found here:
www.themetalscenetvshow.com I will be posting more photos later in the bands section & a God Forbid interview later this week!! I gotta get my ass to the gym! There are some Amon Amarth tunes waiting
to be heard in my ipod for my workout
